Brighton Fishing Museum
Located between the two piers the fishing museum tells the story of fishing in Brighton. (01273 723064).

Brighton Marina
Brighton Marina at the east end of the seafront is the largest man made Marina in UK with both boats, restaurants, shops and entertainment facilities.

Brighton Pier
Brighton Pier was first opened to the public in 1899 and remains one of the finest remaining examples of the Victorian Piers. Full of traditional attractions, rides, restaurants, bars, fortune tellers, gaming machines and good views of the seafront.

Brighton Toy and Model Museum
Hidden under the arches at Brighton Station on Trafalgar street is the Brighton Toy and model museum. Over 10,000 exhibits showing toys and models over the last 100 years. A model train collection shows the Sussex Countryside. (01273 749494).

Hove Esplanade
Beyond the West Pier the seafront stretches to Hove Lawns with rows of beach huts. A very wide promenade is good for walking and skating.

Lower Promenade
The area between the two piers is the most popular part of Brighton Beach with shops, restaurants and bars along the timber boardwalk.

Royal Pavilion
The Royal Pavilion was built for King George V1 and used also by Queen Victoria and William 1V. Originally a farmhouse it was transformed by John Nash between 1815 and 1823 into the Indian style. A major restoration has been undertaken to show off the Regency splendour. The centerpiece is the Banqueting room with a large chandelier and table fully laid in silver –gilt. Visitors can tour the complete building and visit the Music room , bedrooms, kitchen and see the fine collection of furniture on display. There is a coffee shop and museum shop. (01273 290900).

Sea Life Brighton
Brighton Sea life centre is easy to find on the seafront next to Brighton Pier and is the oldest operating aquarium in the world. It has over 150 marine species and 57 displays. (01273 604234).

The Laines
Brighton 's famous “lanes” are a number of small streets and alleyways that form the oldest part of the town. Now full of antique shops, curio shops, jewelers, boutiques and other individual shops is an attractive place to browse and wander.

West Pier
The West Pier has suffered from storms and fires and all that I left is the ruins that stand out on the seafront.

Volks Railway
Britain 's oldest electric railway runs along the seafront from Easter to September and starts by the Aquarium.
